Interior/domestic

The cabin, entered through a side door and down a step, contains 2 single berths in V configuration in the bows, with stowage under.  Full length shelves run outboard under the side windows.  A teak and holly floor is fitted, and there is an escape/ventilation hatch in the roof.  A manual toilet is located beneath a box withi hinged lid, and there is a further stowage locker.
The galley area includes a refrigerator, Optimus single burner spirit cooker, stainless steel sink and manual fresh water pump.  There are lockers for crockery, food and cooking utensils.  The bilges are clean and well painted and the front and side windows provide plenty of natural light.
The cockpit, aft of the cabin, provides a port side helm with folding helm seat in front of a well laid out and comprehensive array of navigation aids.  The two part windscreen and sidescreens give excellent visibility, and a full width bench seat across the transom provides both a pleasant seating area and plenty of storage lockers beneath.  The entire cockpit can be enclosed by the sprayhood and backdrop.  The floor is teak on marine ply, fitted in 1996, and there is a transom-mounted boarding ladder.
The engine is housed under a box in the centre of the cockpit alongside the helm, where it is easily accessible both for daily level checks and major servicing.

Owners Comments

'Peri' is a fine example of a classic Fairey Huntress.  What separates her from the rest however is the major refurbishments carried out during 1995/6 and again in 2010.  These have ensured that she is sound both structurally and mechanically, and in 2010 she was totally repainted inside and out, windows rechromed and the engine fully serviced.  Since 1996 she has benefitted from owners who have kept her in excellent order.
